CardioInsight – definition: the hottest thing to hit the electrophysiology new technology market in many years. While internal mapping through groin access during ablations is currently utilized, this technology delivers the ability to gain additional knowledge through external mapping for atrial arrhythmias and also ventricular arrhythmias, in particular, ventricular diseases such as Brugada Syndrome and Early Repolarization. This mapping system is in only a handful of hospitals world wide – being the third placed after Bordeaux, France and Hammersmith Hospital in the United Kingdom.
I had the privilege to sit down with Koonlawee Nademanee, MD a premier electrophysiologist not only in Asia, but a great scientist who has discovered landmark mechanisms in ablation of persistent atrial fibrillation, Brugada Syndrome and early repolarization recognized by the world of electrophysiology. You will find his interview under Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
Ms. Charu Ramanathan, the absolute brain behind the CardioInsight vest will be my featured interview for July. I am so excited to be able to interview her, listen to her journey and her ideas which resulted in an incredible contribution to the world of electrophysiology.
Stay tuned!
